This is a 2x2x2 shape modded in the shape of a rhombic dodecahedron with 4 of the 12 sides extended to a point. This puzzle itself has a lot of similarities to that of the 2x2x2 octahedron by Justin Eplett (twistypuzzles.com/app/museum/museum_showitem.php?pkey=1873) . Same. I wish the convention was to call the usual "circle" puzzles something else, but we sadly don't have naming conventions in the twisty puzzle community to intuitively label and distinguish the two kinds of circles you can have on the faces.

No, this version doesn't shapeshift, Though I may mess around with the design at some point to see if it would be feasible to add a few more cuts for an additional shape shifting variant.

Looks great but you seem to be having trouble making it turn. Sticking issues?
Ya, the puzzle is a little bit stiff/sticky out of the box, though the turning improves quite a bit after adding some lube and taking time to break it in. I also tend to turn puzzles like this that shape shift a little slower as it can be a little tricky to see where the cuts line up. That said, the puzzle does feel very stable to where I'd have a difficult time forcefully taking a piece out without loosening up one of the screws.
